Destination Wedding Room Blocks: What You Need to Know Before Booking Your Resort

Part 1 of 3

Before you book your resort, understand the room block. It can affect your guests, your budget and your overall wedding experience.
Couples often focus on the wedding package, ceremony location and restaurants.
But the room block?
That's easy to overlook.
A room block helps organize accommodations for your wedding guests and, depending on the resort, may offer group rates or other benefits.
But there's more to consider than simply choosing a number of rooms.

You need to think about:

• How many guests are actually traveling
• Which room categories make sense
• Your guests' budgets
• Booking deadlines
• What happens if plans change

The goal isn't to reserve the most rooms. It's to create a plan that works for your guests and your wedding. And that's where the details matter.
